Details
These carpets are made in the small town of Borchalou in north-western Persia, east of the city of Hamedan. Borchalou carpets are among the best in the Hamedan region because the best quality wool is used. Their pattern is fine and intricate. Their fine traditional patterns with round medallions make them unique. Their wide borders full of flowers form a beautiful frame for the central patterns of the rugs. The colours vary, but the predominant colours are red, light blue, turquoise and orange.
